Support for authentication using offline QR code is now available in the Futurae mobile SDKs.
What is this feature about?
Authentication using offline QR code is one of the various authentication technologies offered by Futurae's Authentication Platform. This authentication technology can be used to secure both user logins as well as transactions, such as payments or other sensitive user actions which the user can perform when interacting with the customer application. It works even if the user's phone doesn't have Internet connectivity, and also works using hardware tokens, instead of smartphones.
Authentication using offline QR code has long been exposed as a feature via the Futurae backend APIs, and so far it has been supported via Futurae white label mobile app portfolio as well as hardware tokens.
The feature is now also supported in the Futurae mobile SDKs, in particular as of version 1.2.0 in the Android SDK and as of version 1.2.0 in the iOS SDK.
What do I need to do to integrate this feature?
