Support for FIDO2/WebAuthn is now available to all Futurae customers!
What is this feature about?
FIDO2/Webauthn is an authentication technology, that enables users to login securely to online services. It is an open authentication standard, supported by most modern browsers and offers a variety of benefits including resistance to phishing attacks.
FIDO2/WebAuthn authentication is now part of Futurae's comprehensive Authentication Platform, which means that you can choose to let your users authenticate with FIDO2 compliant tokens, when designing your user journeys.
One of the main advantages of Futurae support of FIDO2 is that we enable seamless co-existence of different tokens for your users: simultaneously support FIDO tokens alongside App-based authentication, such as One-Touch, and create secure and easy recovery and token management solutions.
What do I need to do to integrate this feature?
Integrating FIDO2/WebAuthn authentication via Futurae is simple: extend your integration of the Futurae APIs on the backend, following the usual Futurae integration patterns, and add the Futurae WebAuthnJS SDK on the browser-side.
You will be able to find everything you need in the Futurae documentation, and as usual, for any technical support do not hesitate to open a ticket at support@futurae.com, such that the most qualified engineer can look into your specific case.
