Google Play’s 16KB Page Size Requirement and Futurae SDK Compatibility

This article is relevant for customers integrating the Futurae Android SDK into their apps.

What is changing?

Google has announced that starting November 1, 2025, all new app versions uploaded to the Play Store must support devices with a 16KB memory page size.

After this date, Google Play will block the publication of new app versions that do not meet the 16KB page size requirement.

What does it mean for customers integrating Futurae SDK?

The Futurae Android SDK is fully compatible with the 16KB page size requirement starting from:

Futurae Android SDK v3:

• Stable release: Android SDK v3.3.2
• Beta release:    Android SDK v3.3.1-beta

Futurae Android SDK v2:

• Stable release: Android v2.5.14

Futurae Android SDK v1:

Futurae SDK v1 does not support the 16KB page size requirement and will be officially deprecated on January 7, 2026.

What do I need to do?

If your app is already integrating a version equal to or higher than the ones listed above, no action is required. Your app is fully compliant with the Google Play 16KB page size requirement

If you are on SDK v1, or on an earlier v2/v3 release than the versions listed above, your app will not be eligible for Play Store updates after November 1, 2025. 

We strongly recommend upgrading to a supported version.  To ensure compliance, long-term compatibility, improved performance, and continued support, upgrading to the latest SDK v3.x.x is suggested.

Upgrade Paths:

If you are on v1:

• Recommended: Upgrade directly to v3.3.2 (stable) or v3.3.1 (beta) for long-term support.
• Minimum required for Google Play compliance: Upgrade to v2.5.14 (stable).

If you are on v2:

• Recommended: Upgrade to v3.3.2 (stable) or v3.3.1 (beta) for long-term support.
• Minimum required for Google Play compliance: Upgrade to v2.5.14 (stable).

If you are on v3:

• Minimum required for Google Play compliance: Upgrade to v3.3.2 (stable) or v3.3.1 (beta).
