What is changing?
Apple has announced an update to the Certification Authority (CA) for the Apple Push Notification service (APNs), requiring all developers to ensure their application's Trust Store includes the new server certificate SHA-2 Root: USERTrust RSA Certification Authority certificate.
To comply with this new requirement, we are pleased to announce that Futurae has already implemented the necessary updates to ensure uninterrupted service. No action is required for customers integrating the Futurae iOS SDK or using Futurae developed Access Apps.
For more details, please refer to Apple’s official announcement: Apple Developer News.
When is this change happening?
According to Apple’s announcement, the Certification Authority (CA) update for APNs is scheduled as follows:
- Sandbox environment: January 20, 2025
- Production environment: February 24, 2025
Does this impact my Futurae SDK integration, do I need to take any action for Futurae developed Access Apps?
No action is required on your side. We have proactively updated our systems to include the new server certificate in our Trust Store, ensuring uninterrupted push notification service and full compatibility with Apple’s updated requirements.
