How can I delete Futurae Services that are no longer needed?
At present, it’s not possible to delete Futurae Services. However, we offer the possibility of deactivating a Futurae Service.
When you choose to deactivate a Futurae Service, its functionality, including API keys, will be disabled. Please note that a deactivated Service will still be listed in Futurae Admin with the status "Inactive",nevertheless Futurae API requests using the inactive Service API Auth or Admin keys will be automatically rejected with HTTP status 401 Unauthorized.
If this option suits your needs, we kindly invite you to reach out to the Futurae support team at support@futurae.com and provide us with the Service ID that you'd like to deactivate.
How can I delete Futurae Users from Futurae Admin?
Currently, deleting a Futurae User is not possible. Instead, you can achieve similar results by using the Deactivate User Admin API endpoint, which allows you to change a User's Status to “archived”.
When a user is archive, the following changes take place:
- New Device Enrollment: The archived user won't be able to enroll any new devices.
- Enrolled Devices: Any devices previously enrolled by the User will be unenrolled from their account, however they will be still visible on the Users Devices page at Futurae Admin.
- The User will be listed in Futurae Admin with the User Status “archived”.
- Irreversible Status: It's important to note that the "archived" status is permanent and cannot be reverted. This means that the user's account is effectively disabled for future use.
You can find the following information about an Archived User at Futurae Admin:
- (De)activation Date: You can view when the user's status was changed to "archived."
- Authentication Attempts: Details of authentication attempts made by the user will be still visible in History pane
- Enrolled Devices: Information about devices that were previously associated with the user.
Filtering Users in Futurae Admin:
To help manage your user base, Futurae Admin provides the option to filter Futurae Users based on their Status. This feature allows you to distinguish between enabled, disabled, and archived users efficiently.
