Non-breaking change.
When will this feature be available?
This feature is already available to Futurae Android and iOS SDKs customers that integrate the SDKs version 2.3.0 and beyond.
What is this change about?
We are thrilled to announce the Futurae mobile SDKs' new Integrity Verdict functionality. This powerful feature empowers the apps that integrate the mobile SDKs with enhanced security and insights by providing verifications on multiple levels, ensuring the integrity of both the device and the application.
The Integrity Verdict feature is designed to provide the knowledge and tools necessary to protect the mobile application and its users. By leveraging this feature, it’s possible to enhance the security of the mobile app and mitigate potential risks.
With the Integrity Verdict feature, the mobile SDKs provide comprehensive verdicts regarding the device, application, and application's channel of acquisition. Here's a breakdown of what this feature offers:
- Device Verdict: The SDK performs an analysis to determine if the device has been rooted or jailbroken. This insight helps you identify potential security risks and take appropriate measures to protect your application and its data, for instance, preventing rooted or jailbroken devices from using the app or simply issuing a warning to the user.
- Application Binary Verdict: By examining the application binary, the SDK detects any manipulation attempts or unauthorized modifications. This valuable verdict allows you to detect and respond to potential threats, ensuring the integrity and security of your application.
- Application Channel Verdict: The SDK assesses the application's channel of acquisition, providing a verdict on whether it was installed through official channels like Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store. This information helps you identify potential instances of unauthorized distribution and take necessary actions.
