This article is meant to clarify how to activate, manage and recover the two-factor authentication (2FA) credentials for your account at Futurae Admin.
How can I activate 2FA for my Futurae Admin account?
It is mandatory to activate 2FA for your Futurae Admin account. If you received a Futurae Admin invitation, the 2FA activation will be part of the sign-up process. As soon as you login for the first time, the 2FA activation process will be displayed, and you only have to follow the on-screen instructions, until a QR Code, that can be scanned with Futurae App, is displayed.
At the end, after 2FA has been activated, you will be forwarded to the 2FA authentication screen, in order to complete the login and access your account.
If you have not received a Futurae Admin invitation, please get in touch with one of the owners of your company's respective Organization account in Futurae Admin, so that you can be invited as a new collaborator.
In case there is no Futurae Organization registered for your company yet, you can head to Futurae Admin and click on "Register" to sign up.

Can I add another 2FA device to my account?
Yes, you can have multiple Futurae 2FA devices activated at the same time for your account.
Please follow the steps below in order to add a 2FA device:
1. Go to https://admin.futurae.com/
2. In the next screen (2FA step), click "Add New Device" on the left menu.
3. It will ask you to "First, please confirm that it’s really you". In other words, you will need to authenticate first.
4. Once you authenticate successfully, follow the on-screen instructions to activate the newly installed Futurae App on your phone.
If you don't intend to use your previous device anymore, please get in touch with our support team at support@futurae.com or at support.futurae.com, so that we can revoke that device from your account.
I lost or replaced my device. What should I do?
There are multiple ways to recover 2FA for your account, described below.
Automatic Account Recovery
The Futurae Automatic Account Recovery allows you to recover the 2FA account that was activated in the previous Futurae app with only a few clicks. This solution is enabled by your device's backup mechanism (iCloud for iOS, Google Drive/Google One for Android), which the app leverages to store a secret account recovery token in the device backup.
To recover your 2FA account(s), you just need to install and open the Futurae app on your new phone. If the phone was restored from a backup that contained the account recovery token, then the Futurae app should automatically detect that there are accounts to be recovered. You just have to press the top green bar and follow the steps until the process is completed.
Note: Automatic Account Recovery can only be executed if you still have not activated the Futurae app on the new device yet with any accounts. After activating the app, the Automatic Account Recovery will not be available anymore.
Add a new device
This option is only available in case you wish to activate 2FA on a new device, since it requires access to the previous (to be replaced) device in order to perform the 2FA, prior to adding a new device.
